Overview: The Terrace Park Beach project rejuvenated one of the area’s most popular beaches. A boardwalk was added that ties the beach to other surrounding areas that have undergone the beautification process. Bording the boardwalk are stone planter beds that are filled with new trees and plantings and offers a place to sit. The safety focused design included adding sidewalks, several new angled parking spaces, light poles, and a crosswalk to provide traffic control so beach goers can safely cross the busy road. A custom sign welcomes those to the beach and a custom pergola offers a place to escape the hot sun. Alex Danbom Park was also included in the project, where we added light poles, sidewalks, new sod and plantings, and several more angled parking spaces to accommodate for the high volume of people the beach receives.
